August 7, 2011 A STORY ABOUT TRUE OBEDIENCE: THE TWO SONS
FIRST LESSON Matthew 21:23-27
SECOND LESSON Matthew 21:28-32
Jesus tells a story about two sons. One refuses the father’s direction, but later changes his mind and does what was asked. The other son says, “Yes Sir!,” but then doesn’t do what was promised. So which is better? Expressing one’s love or showing one’s love? Or do we, does Jesus, have to choose? Might we grow into sons and daughters of God who do both?
